How do I know if my roof needs to be replaced?

Watch for worn, cracked, or missing shingles. Bald spots or rust on metal roofs are warning signs too. If your roof nears its lifespan (15-20 years for asphalt, much longer for metal), consider replacement. Leaks, light peeking through, or water damage inside are urgent signs.  Don't ignore moss, algae, or high utility bills – they can signal roof trouble.
